Who Is Keith Seyffarth?

Candidate for Silver Bow County Clerk and Recorder

I am a second generation Montanan. My grandparents came to Roundup and bought a ranch when my mother was very young. My father came to Montana to study architecture at Montana State University from New York City after serving in the U.S. Army. I was born in Billings, and as a child went up to my grandparent's ranch in Roundup every weekend, and spent many summers there working horses and cattle, and helping with haying, fencing, and various other ranch chores.

My involvement in community service started young. I was in Cub Scouts in elementary school and Boy Scouts in junior high and high school, earning my Eagle Scout just before my 18th birthday. In high school, I was also involved in two explorer posts and was very active in Key Club, helping to organize the teeter-totter-athons held at Billings Senior High to raise money for the Special K Ranch for disabled adults, a project of the Kiwans Clubs in the area. I went to Montana State University in Bozeman, studying Biology Teaching, English Teaching, Instructional Computing, and Women's Studies.

While living in Bozeman, I became involved in elections and worked as an election judge for nearly a decade in Gallatin County. During this time I was trained as a Chief Election Judge, responsible for overseeing a precinct or poling place, and I also assisted in training Chief Election Judges.

In 2008, a colleague of mine and I started Paydirt Design, a web site development, design, and hosting company, in Butte.

Since coming to Butte, I have been involved many community service projects and organizations.

I currently run Paydirt Design from my home in Walkerville.
